Linh Trung I Export Processing Zone, situated in Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City, spans 62 hectares and enjoys strategic proximity to major transportation hubs.

I. Linh Trung Export Processing Zone:

After license number 412/GP was granted by the State Commission on Cooperation and Investment (now the Ministry of Planning and Investment) on August 31, 1992, a joint venture company named Sepzone – Linh Trung Joint Venture Company was established. The joint venture included Saigon Export Processing Zone, Strategic Development International Corp. – SDIC (Hong Kong), and Velox Industries (H.K) Corporation Limited (Hong Kong). With an investment capital of US$14 million, this joint venture company has the function of building and trading the infrastructure of Saigon – Linh Trung Export Processing Zone (now Linh Trung I Export Processing Zone I) with an area of 60 hectares of land in Ho Chi Minh City.
Currently, Linh Trung I Export Processing Zone is located in Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with an area of 62 hectares, adjacent to the national highway, 16 km from the city center, about 2 km from the train station, and 2 km from the train station. The port is about 11 km, 20 km from the international airport, and has an altitude of 19-30m above sea level. The planners have divided this export processing zone into two parts: an industrial zone covering 10 hectares and an export processing zone covering 52 hectares.. Currently, there are 32 foreign and domestic projects investing in production activities with a total investment capital of 248 million USD, producing products such as electronics, precision mechanics, furniture, garments. , leather shoes… for domestic consumption and export.

All 30 enterprises have completed the land lease, with a total investment capital of over 247 million USD. Investors are mainly from Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong. The industry is mainly light industry with machine and product processing. Total export value in 2011 reached 1,34 billion USD, creating job opportunities for more than 50.000 workers.
The Export Processing Zone has completely built its infrastructure, which meets the needs of businesses. It has invested in high-quality internal road systems, stormwater and wastewater drainage systems, power supply systems, water supply systems, centralized wastewater treatment plants, water supply stations, office buildings, customs offices, and green landscapes.
