The Industrial Park is situated in a prime location, adjacent to National Highway 10 and near the city of Nam Dinh. With this strategic location, the transportation, connectivity, and transactions of businesses with other provinces are convenient and straightforward.

Since late 2006, Hoang Anh Shipbuilding Industry Company Limited initiated the investment, construction, and operation of the industrial Park’s infrastructure. However, due to financial difficulties, starting in early 2012, the People’s Committee of Nam Dinh Province agreed in writing to allow Hoang Anh Company to seek a partner for the transfer of My Trung Industrial Park. To date, a new investor has not been found. In July 2017, the Management Board of Nam Dinh Province’s industrial Parks issued Decision No. 41/QD-BQLCKCN to revoke the investment certificate of Hoang Anh Company. As of now, the transfer of My Trung Industrial Park to a new investor has not been completed due to various obstacles.

As of the end of June 2013, My Trung Industrial Park had attracted 14 investment projects, including:

  • 12 domestic projects with a total registered capital of 1.420 billion VND.
  • 2 FDI projects from Hong Kong and Japan with a total capital of 23 million USD.
  • Attracted nearly 2.000 laborers currently working in businesses within the industrial Park.
