Established by the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 639/QD-TTg on September 9, 1996, the Dong Xuyen Industrial Park in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province had its detailed construction plan approved by the Ministry of Construction through Decision No. 567BXD/KTQH on October 30, 1996.
The industrial Park is planned on a total area of 160,81 hectares located in Rach Dua Ward, Vung Tau city, with an operational period of 50 years starting from October 30, 1996 (according to Decision No. 804/QD-TTg of the Government). The industrial land area available for leasing is 128,84 hectares.

Being one of the first two industrial Parks established in the province, advantageously located near the Dinh River, facilitating waterway transportation, the Dong Xuyen Industrial Park achieved the earliest full occupancy among the 14 Industrial Parks in the province. It attracted specialized production forms such as shipbuilding, maritime mechanical repair, petroleum services, textiles, and garments.
The Dong Xuyen Industrial Park port is classified as Port Group 5, announced by the Vietnam Maritime Administration, capable of receiving maritime vessels up to 10.000 tons (DWT). It holds certification for Port Security ISPS/SoCPF/194/VN. Port activities are managed and operated under the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and the ISO 45001:2018 system for safety, health, and environment.
The Dong Xuyen Port Joint Stock Company was established in 2010 on a 15,5-hectare area along the Dinh River, with a 412-meter-long wharf. The Dong Xuyen Port provides essential support services for all companies within the Dong Xuyen Industrial Park and adjacent areas of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.
