Established in 2008, with Shinec Joint Stock Company as the primary investor, the Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park has consistently focused on improving its management systems and developing utility services over the course of more than 12 years in construction and business operations. These efforts are aimed at enhancing benefits for customers and establishing itself as a sustainable development partner for businesses.
To date, Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park has completed Phase 1, attracting over 70 investors from both domestic and international markets, and is renowned for being the first ecological industrial park in Hai Phong. Starting in 2020, it began to attract investments for Phase 2, featuring a synchronized and modern infrastructure system.
Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park – Hai Phong was approved to be included in the planning of Vietnam’s industrial parks until 2020 by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1107/QD-TTg dated August 21, 2006, with an initially planned area of 100 hectares.
On February 1, 2008, Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park was approved for an adjusted increase in area from 100 hectares to 457 hectares (an additional 357 hectares) according to Official Letter No. 180/TTg-CN from the Prime Minister’s Office. However, later on, the planned area of Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park was adjusted to decrease to 263 hectares (a reduction of 194 hectares) according to Official Letter No. 2628/TTg – KTN dated December 22, 2014, from the Prime Minister’s Office.
SHINEC Shipbuilding Industry Joint Stock Company (under VINASHIN) received Investment Certificate No. 02221000015 from the Management Board of Hai Phong Economic Zone as the investor for the investment project for construction and operation of infrastructure in Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park on May 29, 2008. The project has a total accurate area according to the planning of 263,47 hectares, of which the industrial land for lease is 166,86 hectares. The operating term of the industrial park is 50 years (from 2008 to 2058).
In 2015, SHINEC Shipbuilding Industry Joint Stock Company underwent the equitization process and changed its name to SHINEC Joint Stock Company. On May 8, 2019, Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park obtained a reissued Investment Registration Certificate No. 1680381442 and the People’s Committee of Hai Phong City officially established it on September 30, 2020, according to Decision No. 3020/QD-UBND.
