I. Overview of Dong Que Son Industrial Park:

The Dong Que Son Industrial Park is located in Huong An commune, Que Son district, Quang Nam province, Vietnam.

The industrial park is conveniently located near National Highway 1A, with a distance of approximately 35km to the south of Da Nang city – the economic and social center of the Central region – and the Central Highlands. It is also 30km north of Tam Ky city, offering convenient access to road, waterway, railway, and air transportation. To enhance investment attraction and unleash the industrial potential of the Que Son Industrial Park and Quang Nam province, on October 24, 2016, the Prime Minister allowed the expansion of the Dong Que Son Industrial Park from 211 hectares to 457.72 hectares, as part of the national industrial park development plan until 2020.

An thinh quang nam joint stock company is the investor of this industrial park. It promises to provide investors and workers with a concentration of amenities and significant benefits for investment and employment in this area.

II. Infrastructure of Dong Que Son Industrial Park:

Transportation System:

Current internal and external transportation conditions of the industrial park, distances to road networks:

External transportation:

  • Railway: There are plans to connect the Tam Ky railway station, located 30km south, through National Highway 1A.
  • Road: The convenient junction between National Highway 1A and the industrial park facilitates the transportation and supply of goods, with an asphalt road surface and a road width of 7-10 meters.

Internal transportation:

The research area lacks a complete transportation network. However, two roads have been constructed according to the initial plans, including:

  • East-West Road: Approximately 1.8km long, with a road width of 29m (6.0+7.5+2.0+7.5+6.0).
  • Parallel Road: Approximately 1.5km long, running alongside National Highway 1A, with a road width of 27m (6.0+15.0+6.0).

In addition, there is an unpaved road from National Highway 1A to Binh Giang through the research area, with a width of 5-7 meters and a length of 0.8km. There are also some natural paths.

  • Distance to seaport and airport: 40km
  • Distance to major cities (Tam Ky, Da Nang): Along National Highway 1A, it is 30km northwest of Tam Ky and 32km southwest of Da Nang.

Power System:

The industrial park receives its power supply from a 110kV power line, with an intermediate substation of 3200kVA, 35/15 located at Que Thuan and the Que Trung substation. The total capacity of the power supply is 12.28MW, serving the entire Que Son district.

Drainage System:

  • The planned area lacks a complete clean water supply system for residential and public use. The population relies mainly on self-dug wells, but up to 40% of these wells are contaminated with iron. Most households use river water or well water for daily activities.
  • Irrigation water: There are two irrigation channels passing through Huong An, one in the north and one at the sugar factory. Both channels are included in the plans and will be adjusted to provide water for agricultural areas in the eastern part of Huong An.

Current drainage situation:

  • Rainwater freely discharges or infiltrates into the ground, flowing into ditches and fields.
  • The terrain naturally drains surface water.
  • Rainwater mainly flows freely on the ground from higher areas to low-lying areas, swamps, and then follows natural channels to the Ly Ly River.
  • As the industrial park gradually establishes, it has built two sections of roads (boundary road and East-West road) in harmony with the rainwater drainage system.
  • However, there is no drainage system or treatment for wastewater.

Waste Treatment System:

  •  Factory standards: The industrial park does not have its own waste treatment facility.
  • The current waste disposal capacity is contracted with an urban environmental company.

Firefighting System:

Fire hydrants are installed along the main roads and intersections.

Communication System:

Internet: Underground cable installation along the sidewalks of the main roads.
