Overview of Nam Cam Industrial Park – Nghe An:

The People’s Committee of Nghe An Province approved the establishment of Nam Cam Industrial Zone under Decision No. 2555/QD-UB, dated October 3, 2003, as stated in Decision No. 3759/QD.UB-CN. It is located in Nghi Xa Commune, Nghi Loc District, Nghe An Province.

With convenient infrastructure and transportation, the industrial zone brings about significant profitability.

The industrial zone covers an area of 371.15 hectares and is divided into three functional zones: Zone A, Zone B, and Zone C, with the investment and infrastructure development led by Nghe An Infrastructure Development Construction Investment Limited Company.

The development and separation of the zones in Nam Cam Industrial Park are as follows:

  • Zone A is located west of National Highway 1A, covering an area of 93.67 hectares. It is allocated for industrial activities such as automobile assembly, machinery manufacturing, metallurgy, steel rolling, agricultural and forestry processing, production of consumer goods, and other export-oriented industries.
  • An area of 122.72 hectares, known as Zone B, is located east of National Highway 1A and west of the railway. It is allocated for industries such as food processing, wood furniture manufacturing, fertilizer production, agricultural machinery repair, beer production, alcoholic beverages, and various non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Zone C is located along the North-South railway. It is situated on both sides of Nam Cam – Cua Lo Road and covers an area of 154.76 hectares. It is designated for heavy industries and highly hazardous activities. These include the chemical industry, fertilizer production, mineral processing, mechanical engineering, and construction material manufacturing.
  • As of now, Nam Cam Industrial Zone has attracted approximately 40 businesses, occupying an area of over 300 hectares, with a 100% occupancy rate. Nghi Loc District is currently planning to expand the industrial zone towards the west (Zone D).

The industrial zone strategically positions itself along major transportation routes, including National Highway 1A, the North-South Railway, and Nam Cam provincial road connecting National Highway 1A to Cua Lo Seaport. Its favorable transportation network ensures cost and time-efficient logistics. Moreover, the industrial zone benefits from abundant labor resources, offering significant advantages for investment opportunities.

The infrastructure of Nam Cam Industrial Park – Nghe An:

Internal Transportation:

The internal transportation system has road widths ranging from 22.25m to 43.0m, connecting with external transportation networks such as National Highway 1A, Nam Cam – Cua Lo Road, and North-South Railway.

Power System:

  • The total power capacity for the industrial zone is 21.5 MVA. Currently, the temporary power supply is provided by the Cua Lo 110/35/22KV substation.
  • There are plans to construct a new 110/35/22KV transformer station with a capacity of 2×40 MVA.

Public Lighting System:

The industrial zone installs the street lighting network along the road axes, separate from the residential power supply system.

Water System:

  • The industrial zone sources water from the Vinh City Water Plant and delivers it through a Ø500 pipeline.
  • A pumping station with a capacity of Q=17,500 m3/day-night distributes the water into the industrial zone’s pipeline network.

Stormwater Drainage System:

The construction of a separate stormwater drainage system along the road network allows for the directed flow of water into the drainage system along National Highway 1A, which eventually reaches the wetlands in the eastern part of Nghi Thuan Commune and the Cam River.

Waste Treatment:

The industrial zone will collect solid waste at the transfer station, where they will sort and transport it to the treatment area.

Wastewater Treatment:

  • The industrial zone’s wastewater treatment plant will collect and treat wastewater to meet Standard A (QCVN 40:2011/BTNMT) before discharging it into the common wastewater system of the industrial zone.
  • The treatment plant has a capacity of 2,900 m3/day and night.

Communication System:

  • An underground communication cable system extends to the factory fences within the industrial zone through an international standard cable system.
  • There are already fiber optic and microwave communication lines passing through the area, and national telecommunication poles are located 3km away from the industrial zone.
  • The connectivity system between the communication information center of the industrial zone ensures all communication needs. It enables the provision of various necessary services such as a dedicated switchboard, international telephone, remote conferencing, dedicated channels, high-speed internet, email, etc.
