I. Overview of Viet Hung Industrial Park – Quang Ninh:

The Prime Minister permitted the establishment of Viet Hung Industrial Park in document number 727/TTg-CN on May 15, 2006. The industrial park covers a total area of 301 hectares, divided into two phases (Phase 1: 151.89 hectares, Phase 2: 149.04 hectares).

Viet Hung Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary of Construction and Traffic Infrastructure Development Corporation 5 (CENCO 5), is the investor in the industrial park. The high-tech industrial park focuses on high-tech and environmentally friendly products, aiming to become a leading center for attracting innovative technologies and making a significant contribution to the development of Vietnam’s high-tech industries.

Phase 1 of Viet Hung Industrial Park has already attracted 10 secondary investment projects in production and business (6 FDI projects and 4 domestic projects) with a total registered capital of over 2,100 billion VND, employing 2,400 workers.

The investor is currently carrying out land leveling for Phase 2 and has allocated over 45 out of 149.04 hectares to Viet Hung Successful Technology Industrial Park Joint Stock Company for the implementation of the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Plant investment project.

The Provincial People’s Committee stated in document number 5056/UBND-XD6 that they expect to complete the entire Phase 2 by the second quarter of 2022.

II. Geographical location of Viet Hung Industrial Park – Quang Ninh:

Viet Hung Industrial Park is strategically located on National Highway 18, near National Highways 1A, 1B, and the Hanoi-Hai Phong Expressway. It is situated on the shores of Cua Luc Bay, in Viet Hung Ward, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province.

  • The eastern side of the industrial park borders the Troi River.
  • The western side is adjacent to the road connecting Troi-Vu Oai with National Highway 18, passing through Viet Hung Industrial Park.
  • The southern side borders the planned urban area according to the master plan of Ha Long City.
  • The northern side is adjacent to Road 328.

With a total area of 301 hectares, Viet Hung Industrial Park occupies a highly advantageous position:

  • Approximately 130km (1.5 hours by car) from the capital city of Hanoi via the Hanoi-Hai Phong Expressway.
  • Only 9km from Cai Lan Deep Water Port (the largest deep water port in the North with the capacity to handle vessels up to 50,000 tons).
  • About 7km from Ha Long Railway Station.
  • Approximately 44km from Hai Phong Port via the Hanoi-Hai Phong Expressway.
  • Approximately 53km from Van Don International Airport.
  • About 120km from the Mong Cai border gate via National Highway 18 and the Hanoi-Hai Phong Expressway.

Viet Hung Industrial Park provides easy connectivity to various transportation infrastructures such as sea routes, air transportation, and road networks, making it convenient for both domestic and international transportation.

III. Infrastructure of the Industrial Park: 

Internal transportation:

The modern internal transportation system is divided into main roads and branches, facilitating movement.

Electricity system:

  • The high-voltage power supply is taken from the existing 110kV power lines.
  • The intermediate transformer station delivers electricity to the distribution transformer stations, which supply power to different areas within the industrial park.

Water system:

The water supply is sourced from the Dong Ho Water Plant.

Wastewater and rainwater drainage system:

  • The wastewater and rainwater drainage systems are built separately.
  • The factories locally treat wastewater at production facilities that meet the new standard regulations before they discharge it into the common wastewater drainage system of the industrial park.
  • It is then directed to the centralized wastewater treatment plant.

Waste management:

Waste from the industrial park is classified, collected, and transported out of the industrial park by contracted factories to prevent environmental pollution.

Wastewater treatment:

  • They arrange one wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 1,800-2,000m3/day and night to collect and treat wastewater for the entire area.
  • The treated wastewater meets the required standards before being discharged into the environment.

Communication information system:

  • An underground communication cable system equips the industrial park and provides internationally standardized cable systems to the factory fences.
  • It can provide necessary services such as private switchboards, international telephone services, remote conferences, dedicated channels, high-speed internet, email, etc.

Fire protection system:

  • To ensure firefighting water reserves for the industrial park, two water tanks are located in two areas: the east and west of the industrial park.
  • Each tank can sustain firefighting for continuous 3 hours with a water flow rate of 15l/s.
  • Hydrants are arranged along the roads, with an average distance of 100-120m between each hydrant.
