I. Overview of HCM’s Automotive – Mechanical Industrial Park:

HCM’s Automotive – Mechanical Industrial Park in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as the Ho Chi Minh City Automotive Mechanics Industrial Cluster) is located in Hoa Phu and Tan Thanh Dong communes, Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The industrial zone is owned by Hoa Phu Joint Stock Company, which was established in 2004 with three shareholders:

  • Saigon Transport Mechanical Corporation – Samco,
  • Saigon Development and Investment Joint Stock Company – Sinvesco,
  • Ho Chi Minh City Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company – CII.

The total capital for infrastructure construction of the industrial zone is expected to exceed VND 500 billion.

The total area of the project is 112,34 hectares, including 99,3422 hectares of land for the industrial zone and 13 hectares for residential construction (housing for workers).

The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City established the Ho Chi Minh City Automotive Mechanics Industrial Zone on October 1, 2014, according to Decision No. 4831/QD-UBND.

The land use structure for the industrial zone (factory construction land) is detailed as follows:

  • 67,0855 hectares for factory and warehouse construction,
  • 1,5604 hectares for administrative and service facilities,
  • 2,8419 hectares for technical infrastructure,
  • 13,9515 hectares for greenery and water surfaces,
  • 13,9029 hectares for transportation.

II. Geographical location of industrial park: 

Exact location: Provincial Road 8, Hoa Phu commune, Tan Thanh Dong commune, Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The construction of the industrial zone by the city and the company aims to anticipate the development of the automotive industry in Vietnam in the coming years.

This is also the government’s policy to promote the development of the country’s automotive industry and to promote the supporting industry to serve the key economic sectors of Ho Chi Minh City.

From the industrial zone, it is easy to connect to other industrial zones, clusters under the city, river ports, international seaports, and major transportation routes in the area such as Provincial Road 8, National Highway 1A, and National Highway 22, which connect to provinces of Tây Ninh, Long An, Binh Duong, and Dong Nai, ensuring smooth transportation and goods delivery.

III. Infrastructure of HCM’s Automotive – Mechanical Industrial Park:

Transportation system:

  • A main road with four lanes and a 28m-wide road surface.
  • An internal road with three lanes and a 15m-wide road surface.

The power supply is provided by the Cu Chi Power Company, while the water supply is ensured by a groundwater treatment plant with a capacity of 2.500 m3/day, meeting national standards for clean water.

The communication system is provided by VNPT.

The wastewater treatment system has a capacity of 2.150 m3/day and meets the A_QCVN24/2009/BTNMT standard.

The fire protection and prevention system includes:

  • Fire hydrants located along the internal roads.
  • 24/7 security team ensures safety within the industrial park.
