I. Overview of Thot Not Industrial Park:

According to Decision No. 1654/QD-UBND dated June 2, 2009, the People’s Committee of Can Tho City renamed the Center for Infrastructure Construction of Industrial Clusters and Small-Scale Industries Thot Not to the Center for Infrastructure Construction of Thot Not Industrial Park. This decision was made to implement the project that was approved by the Prime Minister in Official Letter No. 2209/TTg-KTN dated February 15, 2008.

In Official Letter No. 156/TTg-CN dated February 4, 2021, the Prime Minister agreed to supplement the planning of industrial parks in Can Tho City.

The Prime Minister also approved the adjustment of the Thot Not Industrial Park’s area from 600 ha to 200 ha.

The Industrial Park has 4 investment stages:

Phases 1 & 2:

  • Planned area: 54.96 ha
  • Geographical location: Thoi Thuan Ward, Thot Not District, Can Tho City
  • Northeast: adjacent to Hau River
  • Northwest: adjacent to National Highway 91
  • Southeast: adjacent to Thot Not Industrial Park (Phase 3)
  • Southwest: adjacent to Thot Not Industrial Park (Phase 4)

Phase 3:

  • Planned area: 50.44 ha
  • Geographical location: Thoi Thuan Ward, Thot Not District, Can Tho City
  • Northeast: adjacent to Hau River
  • Northwest: adjacent to National Highway 91
  • Southeast: adjacent to Rach Trai Mai
  • Southwest: adjacent to Thot Not Industrial Park (Phases 1 & 2)

Phase 4:

  • Planned area: 44.21 ha
  • Geographical location: Thoi Thuan Ward, Thot Not District, Can Tho City
  • North: adjacent to Cai San River
  • West: adjacent to National Highway 91
  • East: adjacent to Hau River
  • South: adjacent to Thot Not Industrial Park (Phases 1 & 2) and Gao Market.

The Thoi Thuan resettlement area covers an area of 24.3 hectares and is located adjacent to the industrial park.

Thot Not Industrial Park is a convergence of various convenient transportation modes, making it easy to transport and circulate goods. This attracts a large number of workers from other provinces to the rented factories in the park, promising to bring a high-quality workforce to the southern industrial park.

II. Infrastructure of The Industrial Park:

The infrastructure of the industrial park is built synchronously, with many features, according to international standards. These include:

  • Transportation system: Main road: 4 lanes, side branch road: 2 lanes
  • Power supply system: The power source for the industrial park is taken from a 110/35/22KV transformer station. The high-voltage power grid is provided along the internal transportation system in the industrial park.
  • Water supply system: The clean water plant, which provides water with a capacity of 30,000 m3 per day and distributes it to the factory fence through a standard international water supply system, is active.
  • Water and waste treatment system: The industrial park’s wastewater treatment plant collects and treats wastewater, ensuring it meets the A water quality standard (QCVN 40:2011/BTNMT), before discharging it into the common system of the industrial park. The plant has a daily processing capacity of 2,900m3, operating day and night.
  • Communication system: A standard international cable system supplies the underground communication cable system to the factory fence in the industrial park.
  • The greenery system is covered with the criteria of green-clean-beautiful in the Can Tho industrial park, limiting the impact on the environment of the leased factories.
  • The fire protection system is installed next to the clean water system to ensure safety for the industrial park.
