On May 8th, the Bac Lieu Infrastructure Development Company held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Tra Kha Industrial Park.

  • The industrial park covers a total area of over 63 hectares.
  • The investment capital for the 13 items of Tra Kha Industrial Park, including electricity, transportation roads, water supply and drainage systems, and wastewater treatment, amounted to approximately 285 billion VND, completed in 2011.
  • After obtaining guidance from the Prime Minister and the approval of the Ministry of Construction, the planning for Tra Kha Industrial Park was adjusted from 98.26 hectares to 63.87 hectares, and the investment rate decreased from nearly 3 billion VND per hectare to 1.4 billion VND per hectare to align with the current situation of the province.
  • Clean Industrial Park Tra Kha Industrial Park attracts 25 projects with an investment capital of 1,850.54 billion VND. These projects have had investment decisions, investment approvals, or registration certificates. The attraction of the park has resulted in significant investments from various business ventures. The total leased land area has exceeded 43 hectares, achieving an occupancy rate of 99%.
  • Among these projects, 19 are already in operation, 3 are under construction and equipment installation, and 3 are in the preparation phase.

Tra Kha Industrial Park is located in Ward 8, Bac Lieu City, Bac Lieu Province.

  • To the west and northwest: adjacent to National Highway 1A.
  • To the south: adjacent to the Bac Lieu River.

The trade of goods is convenient both by road and by water with Tra Kha Port located within the industrial park, with a capacity of 1000 tons.

Labor resources:

  • The total number of workers currently employed in industrial parks across the province is 1,521 (1,471 in Tra Kha Industrial Park and 50 in Lang Tram Industrial Park), with an average monthly income of around 6.12 million VND per worker.
  • Shortly, Bac Lieu will invest 241 billion VND in the employment program for the period 2021-2025 and implement a vocational training program for rural labor with a total investment of 544 billion VND.

II. Infrastructure of Tra Kha Industrial Park:

The infrastructure of Tra Kha Industrial Park has been mostly completed, with essential investments made in the electrical, water, and road systems:

  • Transportation: Internal roads directly connect to the existing National Highway 1A and the bypass road for National Highway 1A (currently under construction). Water transportation is facilitated through the connection to the Bac Lieu – Ca Mau River, ensuring the passage of vessels weighing up to 1,000 tons.
  • Electrical system: The calculated capacity for the industrial park is 110/22kV – 16MVA.
  • Water system: The water supply is guaranteed to meet the demand of 2,500m3/day and night for the industrial park.
  • Communication: The industrial park provides full telecommunication services.
  • Wastewater treatment system: The calculated capacity for the industrial park is 2,400m3/day and night.
